According to the legend this is the site where king Ayet buried his son Apsaros, whose body was dismembered and thrown into the sea by Jason. Gonio-Apsaros fortress is declared the museum-preserve.

The garden consists of nine floristic sections, those of Caucasian humid subtropics, East Asia, New Zealand, South America, the Himalayas, Mexico, Australia and of the Mediterranean. The garden comprises 2037 taxonomic units of ligneous plants, including 104 of Caucasian origin.

Kutaisi was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Colchis. it is cozy and quiet city, with fascinating atmosphere and monuments of historic architecture, ancient monasteries, temples and richest archaeological museums and other sites under the protection of UNESCO. The rich history of the city allowed to become one of the most controversial places today. We will try to introduce you to the most interesting sights, not only within the city, but also in the surrounding area. Kutaisi main highlights: Karst caves Sataplia or Prometheus, Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Monastery Sataplia Karst Cave is famous for fine speleothems and the nearby dinosaur footprints. The name Sataplia is based on the Georgian word tapli (honey), the place was well known for its bees and the locals came here to collect honey. Prometheus Cave. The caves history goes back to the Greek myth of Prometheus chained in the Caucasus and the Argonauts voyage to Colchis for the Golden Fleece. Prometheus Cave Okatse Canyons

Okatse Canyons Departure from Batumi to Samegrelo region. The tour starts from visiting Okatse canyons (trekking route 1,5 km)it is a cascade of three step waterfalls falling from the eastern cliff of the Askhi limestone massif, located in the valley of the River Satsiskvilo. The height of the first waterfall is 25 meters whilst the height of the second one is 70 meters. After the stream joins the River Satsiskvilo, it creates a third, 35 meter-high step of the cascade. Okatse Canyon includes a path hanging on a cliff, a footpath, an orangery by an Italian designer and the Dadiani swimming place. It is the place, which should not be missed Prometheus Cave Departure to Tskaltubo. Visit to Prometheus Cave - one of the richest caves in Europe, characterized by the variety of underground rivers and beautiful landscapes. Total length of the cave is 15 555 m. Here you will have a chance to take a boat trip and enjoy beautiful surroundings. Mtirala National Park

Duration: Full day Route: Batumi Chakvi  Mtirala  Batumi

Mtirala National Park is situated on Kobuleti Chakvi hill at far western part of Adjara lmereti Range of minor Caucasian mountains. The national park covers 16 000 ha, and features flora and fauna characteristic of the humid forests. The park is a shelter of unique and rare species of Colchian flora and fauna. The highest point of the park is 1761 m, Mtirala mount itself is 1300m above the sea level. The area is rich with mineral and fresh waters good for health. Today the Mtirala National Park is a model protected area in Georgia. The route begins from Chakvi village visitors will get acquainted with local customs and traditions in Visitors Center. The complex comprises the exhibition and information halls, guest rooms, camping and picnic places. After that, the visitors will start their trip on foot (7 km) from Chakvistavi Village to Tsivtskaro, accompanied with a guide. While walking around Mtirala National Park, the visitors can enjoy fascinating beauty around the river Chakvistskali, the waterfall and the lake surrounded by the mountains. Along the route visitors can stop and have rest at special picnic areas. After sightseeing tour around the park we invite you to taste local dishes, get acquainted with local traditions and observe the honey making process. Lunch in the local restaurant. ATTANTION Dear guests, we would like to notice, that this route is not easy for people in decline age, of course if they are in good physical form. Along the way the instructor-guide will make several stops in special areas for picnics, the first part of the route (1.5 km) the rise of the hill, and the rest descent.

Khulo Village Green Lake High Mountainous Adjara

Duration: Full day Route: Batumi - Khulo - Green Lake  Batumi

Departure from Batumi to Khulo village a beautiful part of the Adjaran highland is distinguished by its rich natural beauty, cultural sites and history. Khulo is composed of mount-forest and mount-meadow soils. Deciduous and coniferous trees and plants predominate the area. The beautiful Mtsvane The (Green Lake) is located in Khulo municipality. Visit to Goderdzi Pass Upper Station of Cable Way Distance is 4.1 km. The route goes through the zone of alpine meadows and from its final point (the adjacent area of upper station of the cable way) opens the fascinating panoramic view. Mtsvane Green Lake The route takes to the north and follows the boundary between alpine meadows and forest cover. It can be passed by the off-road vehicle. The main adornment of this route is temporary Ajarian summer stations and fascinating views. In 6 km we come to the crotch. Turning right from there we can reach the Green Lake by walking path. We also can reach the Green Lake if we follow the automobile road. We can also continue to the north from the Green Lake and return to Danisparauli Village via Didachara. The route can be passed by both, mountain bike and horse. Here we are making stop for rest and a picnic. Departure back to Batumi in the evening.
